This is the new album from Charlotte, NC singer/songwriter Kevin Brawley. Acoustic based, but with far more sonic depth than your average "guy with guitar". You will get plenty of Hammond Organ, layers of vocals, precise and emotional acoustic and electric guitar work, fully orchestrated string sections, and a psychadelic, intense dance remix of "Work it Out" done by Richard Perry. Painfully honest songs about the last 2 years of his life, particularly the ups and downs of his marriage. A must for any fans of Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, Ani Difranco, Paul Simon, or Rusted Root.

From Creative Loafing, July 11, 2007 :

"The multi-talented Brawley plays guitar, keyboards, and percussion on the album which is inspired by "two upredictable years of marriage." The opening track, "Les is More," opens with an eery electronic intro that quickly changes gears into an acoustic pop song. "Cup of Coffee" looks at the rough side of a breakup without being sappy. Brawley's vocals have a subtle smoothness to them but enough power when needed during the chorus. This is easily heard on "The Rush" - a mellow acoustic number that kicks it up a notch at the right moments. He also gets to show off his picking and strumming techniques on "Work it Out" - a funky acoustic track with a bit of a Dave Matthews vibe to it - and "Acts of Kindness". The verdict - the nine track cd is a solid debut." -Jeff Hahne
